Q: What separates mJobTime from
other time tracking solutions?
A: Among the many reasons mJobTime leads the competition are:
Sophisticated Sybase iAnywhere technology – a
secure, scalable SQL database featuring ultra-fast wireless syncing with no fear
of losing data; a superior feature set
that includes equipment time tracking as well as daily log tracking, multi-level
approvals, automatic overtime calcu-
lations, etc., and the best technical support in the business.
Q: What input options are
available to use with mJobTime?
A: mJobTime runs on most Palm-OS and Windows Mobile
devices, Windows based desktops, laptops, and tablet
PCs, time clocks, bar code scanners, and biometric terminals.
Q: Do I have to buy a license
for each employee whose time I am tracking?
A: No. mJobTime licenses are per input device. A license is required
for each handheld device (PDA), desktop PC,
laptop, or Tablet PC being used to record mJobTime data. This includes both local
network PCs and remote jobsite
devices. Each licensed input device can record time for as many employees and jobs
as you desire. New in mJob-
Time are single user desktop licenses which allow the user to only enter and report
on his or her time.
Q: Are there any monthly fees or
hidden charges when purchasing mJobTime?
A: No, there are no monthly fees or hidden charges. You purchase the number of licenses
you need and you own the
software. We do offer annual support and maintenance plans, but they are optional
after the first year.
Q: My field workers are not computer
savvy. Will they be able to use mJobTime effectively?
A: Yes. We have designed mJobTime with the field worker in mind.
We use uncluttered screens with large buttons
and clear, simple functions. We also default common values such as employee, job,
and cost code to allow fast,
accurate recording of jobsite information.
Q: How does mJobTime track employee
labor time?
A: We offer two different methods of time entry that you can tailor
to your jobsite needs. Our "QuickTime" function
allows real-time clock-in/clock-out functionality for the most accurate recording
of employee time as it happens.
However, we realize that many formen prefer to record their crew's time after-the-fact,
so our "Employee Time"
function allows you to enter start and stop time manually or just enter the number
of hours worked. Both methods
allow you to specify job, phase, cost code, and pay type.
Q: What other types of jobsite
information will mJobTime help me track?
A: mJobTime's main mission in life is to track labor time,
but we realize that there are other important items that
jobsite foremen are responsible for. So, mJobTime also allows you to record Equipment
Time for billing and/or
maintenance purposes as well as Daily Job Logs for keeping track of all types of
events that happen on the jobsite
and need to be communicated back to the administrative office.
Q: Will mJobTime integrate with
my accounting software?
A: mJobTime natively integrates with most popular accounting software
programs including QuickBooks, Master
Builder, Timberline, J. D. Edwards, Viewpoint, ComputerEase, Construction Partner,
Microsoft Dynamics, and others.
Plus, through the use of mJobTime's custom data mapping functionality, we are able
to link mJobTime to almost any
accounting, payroll, or job costing system as well as Excel.
